Supplies:
Cardstock or cardboard ($1 store has white posterboard sheets for less than $1--or use empty leftover boxes.  Paper works okay too, but is kind of flimsy)
glue slightly watered down to make it easily brushed on
foam or other paint brush
bag of mixed dried beans (under $2)
popcorn, pumpkin seeds, other beans and seeds (optional)
pencil

Directions:
Sketch a picture or pattern with your pencil
Brush on glue, smallish areas at a time, and fill in picture/pattern with beans and seeds
You could also use the glue straight from the bottle, but I'm guessing the brush was a little tidier method

Fall Hike and Apple Cidering on Sunday, October 14

Join our den along with the Tiger den at an outing at the Richardson Nature Center in Bloomington.

Help make and taste old-fashioned apple cider. Enjoy grinding apples into a mash and the hard work of pressing them into cider.    Go on a hike and fall scavenger hunt on the trails at the center.  This activity will meet some of the criteria for some Wolf achievements.

Let's meet at 2:30 at the Nature Center and do some exploring inside the building.  We'll partipate in the cidering at 3:00, then go on our scavenger hunt.  This is a FREE event.  Richardson Nature Center asks for you to register to attend.  The link is below.  You can get directions to the Nature Center as well:

A New Cub Scout Year

Welcome Wolf Scout Families!

The trail to the rank of Wolf Cub Scout is more challenging with 12 achievements, each with multiple tracks. Achievements include more physical activity in “Feats of Skill”, learning about safety in “Know Your Home and Community” and reacting to various situations in “Making Choices.” After earning the Wolf badge, Scouts complete various electives to earn gold and silver arrow points to proudly wear on their uniform shirt. At the Wolf rank, Scouts may also participate in the Cub Scout Academics and Sports program to earn special recognition belt loops and pins, just by learning about and participating in an academic subject or sport.

Our meeting schedule for October:

Thursday, October 4 at 6:30, The Garritys, 4799 Adrian Circle SE, Prior Lake
Thursday, October 18 at 6:30, The Garritys
Tuesday, October 23 at 7:00, VFW basement in Prior Lake
